From Boston Public Library + Beau Kenyon

Boston Public Library Composer-in-Residence, Beau Kenyon, presents a reimagining of Shakespeare's As You Like It, deconstructing themes of love, gender identity, and societal constraints and staging it throughout the Boston Public Library. Kenyon's new work also features choreography by Michelle Chassé and performances by Anna Ward, Christina English, Heather Braun, Elizabeth England, Kate Foss, and Maria Finkelmeier.

Part performance installation and part thru-composed piece, everything begins in the newly-renovated Johnson Building (Deferrari Hall) before dispersing sound and movement throughout the iconic McKim Building and innovative Johnson Building, with a final culminating piece in the outdoor courtyard. Total running time is approximately 70 min, with 2 performances: Saturday, June 10 at 11:00am and Sunday, June 11 at 1:30pm.
