Back in 2008 two things happened: a bunch of supporters of the arts got together at Eastern Standard for the first Opus Affair and Kirsten Amann and Misty Kalkofen first pitched the idea that would go on to become Drinking Like Ladies. Ten years later, Opus Affair is celebrating its 10th anniversary—and Drinking Like Ladies finally hits the shelves!
We’re throwing a party together for the friends and family who have supported these two projects over the years. And since so many of you have been involved in supporting both, we decided to celebrate together.
Of course whenever we host an event, we want to make sure there is a charitable component. Our beneficiary for this event is Jane Doe Inc, an advocacy organization against sexual assault and domestic violence. Proceeds from ticket and book sales will go to support them.
We’ll be serving cocktails featured from the book, along with some new contributions. Admission includes two drink tickets, snacks, and a glass to remember the occasion.
Tickets are $50 until June 17 at 2pm (one week out!), then $60 after that.
